While initially dismissing the Red King’s existence as an apocryphal figure of local legend, they are soon led to think otherwise when dead villagers start turning up—their flesh marked by a mysterious brand that is not of Taneeso make.

Who is this mysterious cult operating within the shadows? What is its connection to the village? Is it connected with the Taneeso, or is there a clandestine third party struggling to maintain power in the midst of a foreign invasion? The answer to these disparate queries may lie in the answer to one, simple question—is the Red King truly a myth? Whatever the case, our intrepid heroes must race to solve the mystery and expose the perpetrators before the winter snows bring the invaders to their very doorstep.
